Carnival Overview
Carnivals are a great opportunity to participate in both a fun and competative environment, meet nippers from other clubs and see other beaches. While it can be competitive at times, the emphasis is always on safety, sportsmanship and enjoyment.
Red Beach Carnival
The first carnival of the season is at Red Beach. This is a participation carnival. We would encourage all children to attend as this is a great carnival to gain experience.
Waipu Cove Carnival
This is one of the most fun carnivals of the season at the beautiful Waipu Cove. As it is over two days some of the team books into local camp gorunds (including Uretiti). It makes for a wonderful long weekend.
Auckland Age Group Champs (Orewa)
This is the first fully competitive carnival of the season and runs in seven seperate age group categories (from 7 yr olds to 13 yr olds). Children compete individually for medals and accrue points towards the overall club winner.
Twilight Carnivals (C Group only)
At C Group level there is the oppurtunity to participate in three further twilight carnivals throughout the season. These carnivals are run from 5-8pm and are a great chance for C Group Nippers to have fun and hone their skills.
