INVITATIONAL IRONMAN/WOMAN EVENT INFORMATION:

Off the back of the Surf Boat spectacular “Piha Day of Giants” Piha will now be running an Invite only Ironman race designed to further the big day. This race will be the first west coast Ironman event science 1998. It is designed to be a thrilling day of big wave racing and an opportunity for some of New Zealand’s greatest athletes to prove their skills on the west coast. The invite list will consist of 14 males and 14 females that will compete in separate races on the day. There are considerable cash prizes on the day, down to 5th place.

The event will be televised and has been designed to be spectator friendly, providing up close and personal racing, especially through the transitions. The course is designed to expose athletes to the surf and the crowd as much as possible (this will depend on the conditions, on the day). A course map is attached for your information.

We are currently seeking expressions of interest from athletes, so if you could please circulate to your athletes that would be greatly appreciated.

Athletes will need to follow the link and fill in the google form.
